Product description
Areté is a system of steel and coach hide chairs designed by Franco Poli and produced by Matteograssi in two sizes.
Areté is a natural evolution within the development of the project born with Loom, in which the topological and geometrical qualities of the coach hide material were applied to screens and partitions (called Loomy and T.Net).
Areté is proposed in two sizes, a "Large" one fit for waiting rooms and sitting areas, and a "Standard" one meant to be placed behind a desk or a table.
It has to be pointed out that the technical-aesthetical" concept applied to the coach hide of the Areté project is patented and offers the opportunity of turning the two-dimensional feature of the leather surface into three-dimensional shapes without the need of any seams...It is by virtue of this quality that the collection was called Areté (from the greek "virtue")
Cover: coach hide
Structure: chrome-plated tubular steel
Seat: rigid polyurethane with polyurethane upholstery
Year of design: 2007
