Product description
One of the most famous Italian furniture producers, Moroso, and designer Ron Arad have been collaborating for more than fifteen years in search for new design solutions and materials. They have succeeded in creating a new material that structurally reminds of knitwear, which creates an impression of merging waves on the surface of Ripple Chair. While designing this chair they wanted to ensure that one production process should be enough to make it. Ron Arad has had an idea to make a thermoplastic cast shape of a curved and twisted chair that seems to refer to the symbol of infinity. The chair is comfortable.
The frame of Ripple Chair is made of white polished and natural injection-moulded thermoplastic to highlight the design in relief that is reminiscent of the traces left by sea waves on sand. The circular aperture of the seat, the lightness and softness of the lines, the sturdiness of the material used and its stackability make Ripple Chair particularly suitable for both domestic and public spaces.
