Product description

Brand:  XO, China www.xo-design.com Designer:  Philippe Starck Design Connected ID: 1008

Bonze is in the tradition of Starck's playful and artistic products, with a reference to the 1930's surrealist period.
After having explored the stool under different technologies, moulded in polypropylene, moulded in lacquered ABS, rotation moulded, today XO explores ceramic materials but not any ceramic, a luxury ceramic, a ceramic in gold. Bonze is a reference to the surrealist 30s, Bonze is a stool, Bonze is a pedestal table, Bonze is a scuplture.
Bonze is used in all Yoo's proposed interiors. Bonze has also travelled to Moscou to give a little of its serenity to Philippe Starck's latest restaurant : The Bon at Moscou.
Bonze, now also in platinium or black, will give an extra luxurious edge to Milan. It is constructed from ceramic then painted gold. this piece has recently been featured in the New York Times.

Year of design: 2006
